Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

She loved the sun so much! It was warm and pretty and it tasted goooood. But it was precisely because she loved the sun so much that she was deathly, deathly, deathly afraid of VAMPIRES. After all, if she became a vampire she'd not be able to go in the sun, and then she'd not be able to eat the light, and then she'd DIE (again) and it would be awful and terrible and just HORRID--

Her friends', uh, assurances that if she ever became a vampire she'd just eat blood instead usually fall on deaf ear holes, the dragon continuing on in her teary lament of how terrible it would be to starve alone in the scary bad cold dark. Thankfully though her friends are quite certain she'll never become a vampire, considering she's over fifty feet tall and only active when it's sunny!
