Scimitar-wing Wyverns are a small breed, eating mainly birds and small vertebrates; as such, they lack the large teeth and heavy claws of their larger cousins. They are far from defenseless, however, and are named for the blade-like growth that forms over the first digit of their wings. The wyverns use these blades to defend themselves from any attacker. Their blades are quite strong and can cut through almost any scale or hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Wingsnapper's name is earned in bone and ligament, in blood- and scaleshed. Her Scimitar-wing Clan's territory lies at the very edge of the Weyr of Flame's bounds, and like many of her Clan, she dreamed from hatchlinghood of joining Emperor Flameflow's peacekeepers, dragons who patrol the territory ensuring that his laws are kept, tithes are fairly gathered, and those who would disturb the peace are stopped. The role is honorable, well rewarded, a way to earn her meat and protect what she loves, as well.

Wingsnapper rose quickly through the peacekeepers' ranks, known for always catching her prey. The sharp blades tipping her wings are actually her weapon of last resort. Mostly, she uses her small size and shocking speed to slip inside her foes' defenses and break their wings in half. Cleanly, quickly, brutally. At the center.

It's a remarkably efficient way to ground a fleeing dragon, and many simply surrender themselves upon hearing she's arrived, knowing her name before her face.
