Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lixia Juno is the daughter and oldest child of Arctis Glacea and Aperire Oster.  Personality wise, she takes more after her mother than her father, normally using her mind instead of her emotions when going about her daily life, and is usually very calm, even during intense situations.  However, when her anger is invoked, it erupts like a solar flare from the summer sun.  The one most often at the receiving end of this anger is her father, whom she has trouble getting along and seeing eye to eye with.  To add to Lixia Juno's problems, she is unable to remain near her mother for extended periods of time (30 minutes is usually the maximum), since, being complete opposite seasonal dragons, prolonged exposure will cause them both to become very ill.  Due to this, Lixia Juno was forced to move out of the main cave and into one of the separate caves in the territory.  Only a certain few know that Lixia Juno deals with a lot of sorrow, since she's not close to either of her parents.
