Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

As hatchlings go, Briddo is an industrious little thing. She often leaves the nest, rolling small pebbles along the ground with her nose to build them up into small piles to clamber up upon in order to survey what she can of the land, often building multiple piles and hopping between them using her small wings to aid her with a slight glide. She will often pick up small stones in her mouth to bring back to the nest, adding them to her mother's collection or, should she find a particularly interesting specimen, hiding it away amongst the common pebbles in order to obtain it once more later.
