Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

First appearing in ancient accounts of human lore, Skianth was a horrific necromancer of untold power, able to raise an army of the dead with ease and bring to ruin even the mightiest cities. Those who saw her were paralyzed with fear and disgust, for her body was as rotted as the armies she raised, her skin seemed to hang over her loosely, like it wasn't her own, her body riddled with holes and chunks of flesh missing. Supposedly, the only way she still existed was because of the cold mountains where she resided, though no one who went searching came back alive.

It is said that in the Northern mountains one who feels a strong, cold, stale wind and hears screams of those who have perished on the slopes knows whence the wind came from, and that they are now as damned as the wretched souls of the dead.

Nowadays though, Skianth is no more than a bedtime story to scare young hatchlings and children. No sane adult would believe in such a story, for that's all it is, a story...
