Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its belly is bright red and it is most active in the evening.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Roji loves the flowers that grow near the cave. She gets up a little bit earlier than most sunset dragons so she can admire her favorite flowers, Gazanias. The have similar colors to her wings and under belly; these close when the sun goes down. She gets her name from the color of her under belly, which is sort of rosie.

Her name means rosie.
