Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New types of dragons are added regularly!
Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
The worst trouble of Whitevein's life used to be that his mate, Cleareyes, would test her herbal remedies for the Weyr on him. He used to worry only about her accidentally giving him purple hives, or perhaps one of their three hatchlings getting hurt. Now, his worries are much greater: the eruption of the Great War left his mate traumatized and filled with guilt, unable many days to even leave their cave for want of energy and drive. Whitevein now is all but raising their hatchlings on his own, struggling just to make sure that they all stay together and don't give Flameflow, the new Weyr leader, any cause to exile them, where they'd surely die with only one capable hunter, who would also be the only one to care for their hatchlings... Whitevein tries to keep his head down these days and keep his troubles to himself, fearing negative attention could cause exile.
Whitevein's friends once were many, but now he finds himself with just his mate, trying to be the light that guides her home.
