Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Stefan has a volatile and destructive temper. It takes very little to evoke his fury. When he is in a rage, he will destroy anything near him. He has frequently wounded other dragons during his fits. Once he has recovered himself, Stefan is apologetic, sweet, and loving. His friends and family are always aware that his mood can change in a second. His uncontrollable rage has made him one of the most feared dragons in the Cave.
