Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Victor, or Vic as he is known for short, is the leader of the Christmas dragons of the Java Tiger clan. A jolly sort, despite his rather martial sounding proper name, he loves to see all of the dragons of the clan, and the local humans too, enjoying themselves with friends and family at this particularly festive time of year. The other tinsels of the clan, as well as the other Christmas dragons, all follow his lead and do their part in trying to make the clan's festival a success. Song, decorations, gifts, food... all have their place, but the tinsel is quick to remind every dragon that those are not the real meanings of the season. As befits a tinsel dragon of noble lineage, he places a great emphasis on family and tradition. In fact, Vic's favorite thing to do at Christmas time is to gather all the dragons of the clan together to tell tales, both real and fictitious, of Christmas seasons long since past... including a few that supposedly happened long before the clan was even begun.
