Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows with some form of arcane energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This bright hatchling is enraptured by mythology. Whenever one of the elder dragons feels the need to read aloud a book of forgotten lore or tell a story of battles long past, Junor will always be there, listening contentedly. He sometimes uses his magic to bend shadows into moving shapes, which he then uses to re-enact the fables he's heard.

Junor hasn't had much time to make friends among the other hatchlings, but the friends he does have, such as Sentari the gray dragon, are very close. Junor is usually happy to put on a shadow puppet show for them, should they be in the mood to hear an epic tale.
