Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It chirps incessantly and loudly.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This hatchling probably received a proper name when it hatched, but everyone affectionately calls it by its nickname, Frog.

Shortly after hatching, it was already very active and curious and always tried to follow its mother into her workshop to cause mischief. There were several close calls, but what came to be known as "the luminescent putty incident" almost ended fatally for the poor little thing. Luckily its father, a Guardian of Nature, used his magic to instantly heal little Frog. As a side effect, Frog will always stay the size it was that day.

Since Frog hadn't grown wings yet, everyone thought it wouldn't be able to keep up with the other dragons, but thanks to its long and strong hind legs, it can move very quickly by leaping like a, well... a frog.
