Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This little hatchling sneaked away from his mother one cold April night. All dragons nearby looked for him, but they were too late. When little Curled Darkness was found, he had already turned into a cold ice-statue.

From there he was given a new name, "Frozen Darkness". They say that he is still alive behind all that ice, but there is nothing in the world that can unfreeze him anymore.

To this day, little Frozen still stands on the very same spot where he froze a long time ago. And he will keep standing there until some magical being shows mercy on him.
