When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Aqua spent most of her time as a hatchling amongst humans and was quite surprised when she woke up in the ocean rather than her normal lake; it was the day after she'd refused an offer to keep her as a hatchling. She was confused, heartbroken, and had no clue how to survive without help from humans.

After a few days of swimming, she was close enough to land to start seeing other dragons. A Whiptail nearly crashed into her, and then he introduced himself as Racer before speeding off again. Aqua decided to follow him, and eventually reached the area where he lived with a few other dragons. Aqua was invited into the group, and she accepted, thinking that she wouldn't see any humans again.

A few months after Aqua had joined the group, she met a young human girl as the girl searched for dragon eggs along the coast. Aqua pointed her towards the cave when the girl asked her if there were dragons living nearby, and the girl has often visited the group since then, often bringing eggs with her.
