Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Erqon is one of the fastest dragons on the ground, and regrettably, he knows this. With few dragons able to match his speed, he's rather boastful about his abilities. The ones that know they can beat him stay clear, however. He has a dangerously short fuse when it comes to responding to races he loses. Either he'll go to great lengths to "prove" they cheated, or he'll move straight to smashing their muzzle right then and there! Since his hooves are strong enough to destroy standard brick walls, several fights have wound up with one or both in need of medical attention, and even that will not often stop his attempts to force the surrender from his opponents. Obviously, he is not a very popular dragon, but none can deny that he takes his title very seriously.
