Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

At its height, Magehaven Island was home to dozens of magi dragons, but by the end, there were only a handful. Lidijan had the brilliant idea of traveling into the future to bypass the worst of the present crisis, only to learn too late why sensible time travelers only go to the past. With no fixed future to travel to, only an assortment of possibilities, he drifted between timelines until Bereta Timedancer got him back on track. Lidijan arrived back at the same time he left, but not at the same place he left from, and wandered for years before running into other Magehaven Island survivors quite by accident.
