Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Seravesta is the epitome of why Hellfires get such a bad name. She's cruel, manipulative, beautiful, and extraordinarily nasty. She has extreme obsessions and remains one of the most persistent and cunning hens in all three clans.

When she was little, before she feathered out in the bright, telltale, flaming plumage which marks adults, she got trapped in a dark crevice for hours. Her playmates may or may not have known she was down there, but regardless she has blamed them ever since. After that day, she adopted the idea that you could trust no one but yourself and that other dragons were good for nothing more than being stepping stools. And she also became rapidly the most skilled fighter and fire breather in the clan. However, she is incredibly insecure, She will never let anyone passed her inch thick shield. She even manipulates her mate, Lyncis, by intimidating him, thereby keeping him to herself.
