Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Finuviel lives on a high cliff overlooking the ocean. He enjoys flying high into the sky and then diving down toward the water, veering before plunging in so that he skims the white caps coming into shore. Sailors who have seen him skimming the waves wonder at the shimmering mist cast up, for Finuviel flies by so fast that it takes very sharp eyes to discern that it was a dragon.

Living by the ocean's edge, Finuviel eats more seafood than most dragons do, but enjoys the fresh warm flesh of red-blooded kills more. The mix of meats he was able to provide her (along with his shimmering beauty) won him a beautiful but picky mate that many had wooed unsuccessfully.
