Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A royal scribe of the Draconic Court of Dreamers, Cinerea loves writing and collects books and texts of all sorts. She manages much of the enormous libraries owned by her clan, protecting the knowledge and ensuring its continued survival. She spends quite a bit of time chasing around young hatchlings that try and steal the decorated tomes from the halls of her library, or fending off would-be thieves who prowl at night. When not overseeing the business and affairs of the library, Cinerea practices magic, studying it intently and hoping to glean ever more literary knowledge from her experiments.
