Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Specks of Darkness, more commonly known as just Specks, learnt at an early age not to stick her nose into things she does not understand. Unfortunately her lesson was learned the hard way when she went rummaging through a Magi's cave and stumbled upon a cursed item. Forever frozen as a hatchling, she is just glad that at least her wings had already grown; she may be unable to fly properly but she can glide.

Always an optimist, Specks hasn't allowed her unfortunate fate to prevent her from enjoying life. Under the expert tutelage of her mother she has learned how to utilize her magic and her ability to glide and has become another talented huntress that her Clan can be proud of. Her small size gives her an advantage when it comes to guarding clutches of eggs and young hatchlings. Blending in as one of those being guarded, she is an unpleasant surprise for anyone wishing to harm those she protects.
