Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

As the hatchlings of the Hidden Kindergarden continued to grow in numbers, Queen Baisel began to experience troubles with ruling the cave. She needed helpers, and fast. Tui was the first one to catch her attention. When Tui hatched, he couldn't understand where he was. As soon as he figured out, though, he started claiming that he was here by mistake, that he was a beloved son of the noble Telperion clan and needed to find his parents. The fancy speech and the noble air around him indicated that his words were true. Later he discovered that he was an unwanted inbreed.

As the time passed, Tui grew calmer and friendlier to the hatchlings of the Kindergarden, and showed a natural talent in diplomacy. He seemed to always get on the good side of everyone, even the fiery Curugul and self-centred Alagos. And that was the reason Baisel invited him to be her advisor and helper, allowing him to keep his family name and be known not as Nethlas Tui, but Tui Telperion, First Advisor of Queen Baisel
