And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Because of her special code (1MOO) given to her by the Amazing Master of Everything at birth, her owner named her after cows. There was also an unfortunate incident when she was young, when she ran afoul of an older dragon and suffered amnesia. When she woke up to find everyone calling her a 'Bovine' she immediately assumed that she was actually a cow, not a dragon. She's taken up many strange habits—mooing at dragons she doesn't know, eating grass, staring vacantly at walls—and the other hatchlings are unnerved by her, some fearing that they might eventually morph into "cow dragons" themselves. Still, the Pink hatchlings are loyal to any of their breed, and they stand by her, hoping that eventually she'll recover her memories and realize that she is not, in fact, a cow.
