Storm-Rider Dragons are a coastal breed—though they can also be found in open plains, preferring the violent thunderstorms that usually occur in such areas. It is not known if the dragons create storms themselves with their electrical capabilities or if they simply magnify existing fronts; no matter the cause Storm-Riders can be seen tumbling through the worst of weather as if it were no more than a light breeze.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Itomaru's inquisitive nature makes it a bit difficult for him to avoid getting into trouble. Since his usual reaction to something dangerous is "does it always do that" and not "I shouldn't mess with it", this makes him the perfect hunter for unusual spell reagents needed by the local wizards. Itomaru will happily go looking for pools of mana that only manifest during violent thunderstorms, or pieces of trees that have been recently struck by lightning, and will consider the thrill-seeking part of the adventure as payment enough for whatever task he's getting done on the side. Naturally, the wizard asking for the ingredient needs to listen to Itomaru chatter endlessly about how much fun he had and how many times he almost fell out of the sky and also this weird thing he saw after lightning almost struck him, but Ito's talking is always less dangerous than a thunderstorm, so the wizards patiently listen to his excitable rambling.
