Wisteria Dragons are gentle, forest-dwelling dragons named for the wisteria that they weave into their fur. The flowers grow lusher and more beautiful as a result of the proximity to the dragon’s life mana, and in turn become a source of pride and honor for each Wisteria Dragon. Each dragon’s specific arrangement of flowers is unique, and it is uncommon for more than one Wisteria Dragon to ever be recorded in the same section of a forest. Despite their solitary nature, many have said that setting out a small offering of flowers by the edge of a forest on a sunny day is enough to cause these dragons to appear—although most see only a blur of bright purple flitting between the trees. Even such brief sightings are thought to bring health and longevity to a lucky observer.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Like the others of the loosely tied Wisteria Clan, Wisteriasweet technically owes her loyalties to the coalition of the Weyr of Soft Flowers, but that's just the technical fabric of her world. In the day to day, she thinks little of imaginary territorial boundaries and simply does her best not to be seen unless she wishes to, and not by anyone she does not wish to see her. The little wood she calls hers is technically very far from the lands her Weyr keeps, but she is glad for the space she has, running up into the foothills of the tallest peak on the continent, Val'Direa.

Wisteriasweet likes to roam the lower steeps of the mountain, which is how she met her mate, Curewounds, a pale Astrophylne whose Weyr allegiances don't really matter to him either. He's never told her where he goes when he isn't with her, and she does wonder sometimes about his home, where he flies to when he flies away.

But when he comes to her wood, he too is hers, and she is content to know she keeps his heart.
