Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It has the colors of a bright summer day.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

Rozpravka, or Dream in Zurenie's language, was a blessing to the ever growing clan. As many dragons gathered, strong leadership was needed more and more. Discontent rose among the stronger dragons fighting for authority and that discontent trickled down towards the weaker dragons. A true fight broke out one day between a Hellfire wyvern and an Ice dragon and Rozpravka was caught in the middle. She was new to the clan and had just grown her wings when the fire and ice crushed her against the wall. A white dragon seemingly about the same age saved her life but destroyed her ability to age.

Her near death brought sense back to the cave and realization about how serious fighting was. No specific dragon claimed leadership, but then no more fights broke out over petty claims.
