Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Miorbhuil has a passion for underground darkness. Although his wings would indicate he is a dragon of the sky, most of his time is spent deep inside a mountain. Ever since he hatched, he has been fascinated by his clan's dark cave deep within the rock. As soon as he could walk he started clawing at the ground underneath him, digging out a tunnel to add to their cavern. Unfortunately this failed miserably, causing the ceiling to collapse and bury him alive. His parents tried to dig him out as fast they could, yet at the same time they knew they probably wouldn't find him alive... To their surprise, he was alive, though seriously bruised, and his mother named him Miorbhuil, or Miracle. Strangely, his first failure all but diminished his passion for digging: Miorbhuil swore to become the greatest tunneller ever. Now he and his brother Monadh are the clans main tunnellers, extending their labyrinth of caverns and tunnels when the ever-expanding family has outgrown their den.
