Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

BrightBurningStar is a Red Dragon with a typical Red temperament. She is quick to anger and doesn't calm down easily. She was banished from the cave she was born in, due to fighting and aggression. She wandered around, eating livestock and attacking other dragons. Until the day she fought a great air battle and lost. She crash-landed in a tree, and passed out. She drifted in and out of consciousness, vaguely aware that she had been found by other dragons, and then moved by them. She awoke weeks later, finding herself surrounded by healers. She was too weak to flee or fight. But she might have crawled into hiding had BurningWind, a handsome Red Dragon, not been there. BurningWind engaged her in a conversation, and they talked until nightfall. He convinced her to not only stay in his cave, but to join him in the military. She was far more mature than she had been, and fits into her new cave very well.
