What they lack in size and strength, Tatterdrakes make up for in aggression and ferocity. Any perceived threat is seen as a challenge and met with complete hostility; fights for territory are so commonplace that many older Tatterdrakes possess wings so ripped from fighting that they can no longer fly. Tatterdrakes are exclusively solitary except when they are seeking mates, for which they also clash.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Being a Tatterdrake, Thaeri is very territorial and many of the other dragons in her clan take their desire for solitude with the utmost respect, if not for fear of what would happen should they deny her request. Occasionally a curious hatchling will enter her domain, those that do not run before her notice are sure to endure punishment for breaking her peace. Without any other Tatterdrakes nearby, Thaeri has to find willing opponents for her to satisfy her thirst for combat, but few are often up to the task. As a result for her lack of battle Theari's aggression has decreased compared to any wild Tatterdrake, yet she's never backed down from a fight, always eager to test her skills and improve when she is able. Though she does enjoy being alone Thaeri can sometimes be caught watching the young hatchlings duel as they play, silently waiting to see whom comes out victorious and mentally remembering their next combatant.
