Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Moonlight Storms often felt self-conscious as one of the few Storm Dragons in Wayside Haven. Dark Grizzle, the cruel scheming empress, had given Storm Dragons a bad name; many dragons assumed that Moonlight was also vicious and conniving, even though that could not be farther from the truth. Moonlight was a dragon who was fun loving and appreciative of beauty, as well as kind-hearted and willing to admit when she was wrong. However, the judgement and assumptions were wearing her down, and Moonlight was not sure how long she could go on without snapping. Surprisingly, Moonlight was invited to a Halloween party, the first sign that dragons here would accept her. She dressed up in monocle and a white top hat with a black feather in it and went to the party, only to see that no one else came. It was just a cruel joke. Well, she would show them. She would show them all!
