Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The first to hatch from the first eggs saved by Shrel was Syrup, a dragon as sweet and mellow as its namesake. Syrup first saw the world from a hollowed out fallen log, soft with moss and decay, where Shrel had placed the eggs. He was completley unprepared to care for them other than a compassion for these outcast eggs, hoping they might survive.

Syrup Dorkface was the first alpha of the group. Lacking any sense of leadership, he had never tried to be in charge, but in being the oldest and largest with an easily warmed to character, simply became the hatchlings leader as default. Syrup is playful and forgives easily. He has since abdicated, and more to his enjoyment spends time with the current hatchlings. He plays an important role in the group as a bridge between the young and old, and is always glad to spend time with Shrel.
