Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It perfectly depicts spring weather.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Vasant Vasuki is a rather troublesome dragon. He spends most of his time setting up minor pranks, such as large amounts of pollen falling on the other dragons as they pass. Somehow, when Vasant was setting up one such prank in the forest near the clan's cave, he managed to get himself frozen. He simply will not tell anyone what happened, nor will he say if it was on purpose or an accident.

Vasant is highly intelligent, and the rest of the clan wishes he would find a better outlet for his ingenuity and creative skills. He seems to enjoy being a hatchling; however, he is a little miffed that he'll never be big enough to set up any major pranks.
