Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The orchestra for the Skylark Players consists of a mere three dragons, but if it weren't for Lalsec's stubbornness and Teskero's vocal talents (not to mention Pelumbar's insistence on having a backup plan if Lohior is ever taken ill), they could get by with just one. With a little advance preparation, Lohior can mimic the sound of any instrument, thanks to a very unusual device that only she knows how to work. It resembles a giant egg when not in use, but unfolds at the touch of Lohior's claw into a bewildering array of levers, strings, and pedals. Lohior claims to have invented it herself, and as nobody else has ever seen anything quite like it, she's probably telling the truth. She'd be far better suited for Roaring Lion Productions, where performances require entire orchestras instead of a few instruments playing a handful of motifs, but Lohior would rather be the one-and-only than just another marvel among many.
