Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Overt, a genderless speck of a thing, was frozen before it had the chance to gain a gender and grow wings. Gendered dragons are treated with much more respect than ungendered ones in the tribe, and every day Overt is picked on. Its tail is squashed, its head pecked, and its little scales yanked out are only a few bullying techniques used by the bigger and winged hatchlings. One day Overt hopes to grow its wings and be able to stand up the bullies. A psychic water dragon informed Overt that it is male by reading his paw. "Three boys now! Whatever am I to do!" Says Overt's mother, who already has to deal with his two older brothers and little baby brother.
