Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Loveflower is interested in art. She is a very calm dragon who expresses herself through art. She never drew anything she has seen, only things she has heard of. One day she overheard her friends talking about flowers and took a blank piece of hard, tan paper and started to draw a heart from a long, pointed stem. She drew many swirls around her picture; she drew thorns coming out of the stem; and she laughed when she was done: she thought it looked pretty and amazing. It made her happy. After a few days,Loveflower decided she wanted to see what a flower really looked like. She walked very deep into the woods. After a while she thought of going back. But then she saw a small bush. It had thorns and a deep red flower. She stared. She plucked the flower and went home. She was named Loveflower because she loves flowers.
