Cavern Lurker Dragons are nocturnal ambush predators. Although small, they are very aggressive and will attack anything weak enough to be overpowered. Their preferred method of hunting is to lie in wait in a cave, burrow, or other small, enclosed space; when any potential prey passes they will lunge out to grab hold of the unsuspecting victim and drag it back into the lair. Cavern Lurkers have an odd aversion to sunlight and almost never venture out during the day. More commonly sighted are the odd piles of bones they stack near the entrance to their dens. Their mating call is a low-pitched bumping noise.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
A dragon with an exceptionally dark soul, Sataen is extremely cruel and wicked to anyone who passes by her. She is extremely proud of her heritage and often boasts about it, which annoys every other dragon inside the castle, though many are too afraid to say anything against it. The only one who has dared to stand up to the Cavern Lurker is the Seragamma, Edin, which resulted in a massive fight between the two scaled beasts. While she lost, Sataen only let it dampen her spirits slightly, and still brings it up as often as she can. This results in the conversation ending prematurely, and an upset Cavern Lurker sulking through the dungeons.
While she may seem like all roar and no bite at first glance, that is blatantly untrue. When a wandering hatchling strays too far from its caretaker, and Sataen sees, she'll often coax it into following her into the dungeons. It will reemerge, petrified, and will often die later of unknown causes, leaving the mystery of what it saw.
