Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
On dark winter nights Branwen's shrieks can be heard echoing from the cave of the Storm Crow Clan. No one is quite sure why she cries out in this way, the other dragons have speculated that it is due to a disappointment in love, a sun burn on her pale albino skin or perhaps it is a cry for another like her to come to join her. Whichever answer is correct there is one thing that all the dragons know well, and that is that it is far too noisy when she shrieks like that and they do not like it one little bit. Indeed, since Branwen joined the clan there have been fortunes made and lost in the ear plugs market as her cave mates attempt to carve, mould and create the most efficient noise blocking mechanisms to protect their delicate ears. When she is not shrieking at the moon Branwen enjoys playing the bagpipes and cooking scones.
