Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s extremely curious and seems to enjoy exploring the area around it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Princess Damali is a dragon-child of the Pseudo-Royal Hall, a clan of superb wanna-bes. Damali is one of a gaggle of frozen hatchlings residing in the Hall, watched over in their rough-and-tumble pursuits by forever patient Queen Varda, stoic King Duarte, and comical King Lucio. Damali's favorite activity is no activity at all; most often seen simply laying around the Hall, Damali is a notoriously lazy and idle dragon-child, trading playtime with her Hall-mates for long basks in the sun.
