Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sarastro, despite being nocturnal by nature, has found himself in the position of becoming the revered and beloved ruler of the kingdom of Day. The humans in this small country see him as their benevolent ruler who protects them from the dangers of wild dragons as well as the hostile attacks of the nearby country of Night and they will obey his every rule, believing in order and security above all else.

Little do they know that Sarastro and the Queen of Night share a complicated relationship, torn between passionate desire and abysmal hate.
