Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Amongst her siblings, Staroara was always the quiet one. Her questioning nature made her stand out from them, too. While they ran around and tackled each other, Staroara would be wandering far from her nest. At one point nearing her adult years, she got lost in the mountains far from her home. Once she realized she could never go back, the only way she went from then was forward. She crawled and glided from ledges until she reached the top of the mountain. She was met with an unusual sight. An ancient dragon of her species was looking up at the dark sky. Staroara walked to the elder in awe. The old dragon's star patterns were brilliant, despite the age of his hide. A great wave of sadness crossed the elder's face as the pictures on his skin faded away. He looked at Staroara and lightly tapped her head with his wing. Immediately the pattern of his nebula appeared on her skin. Staroara turned to thank the elder, but he faded into the night's gentle breeze. Never to be seen again.
