Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Citrindez GildHonor (after the gemstone: Citrine) was the 146th carrot to join the clan cave, another offspring from the Lady 'rfette's clan. Highly prized and sought after, his adoption into the clan cave was filled with both wonder and question for there were many who hoped to bring him into their midst. Furthermore, his benefactor mysteriously vanished on the eve of his expected transference, not to be heard from again for quite some time. Thankfully, shortly after hatching, another clan mother intervened and successfully guided his golden form to his new home in the Mystal Clan. After learning of his origins, he developed an intense sense of honor and pride, knowing beyond doubt that he was loved and wanted, not just for his lineage or his breed, but also for the impact of his gilded personality. Despite this pride, he is a very humble carrot who recognizes his importance, but does not wield its weight like a weapon, content instead to share joyful moments with all around him.
