Serrati Wyverns are a fierce breed of dragon typically found in volcanic areas or in desert scrubland. With their keen vision, these fearsome predators can pick out well-camouflauged prey from the slightest movement. They are named for the double rows of serrated teeth that line their beaks, which allow these wyverns to maintain an unbreakable grip on prey while they tear into their target with deadly hooked claws. Though these dragons are combative with nearly everything, they are surprisingly well-mannered when raising their offspring in communal nests. Males, however, tend to be chased off as soon as eggs are laid.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Oiqex is an ill-tempered and violent dragon. While he is physically quite weak, he makes up for it with his speed and agility, and attacks rapidly. His speed puts many of his kind to shame, and he takes advantage of it any time he is hunting or fighting. He gets tired very quickly, and usually gives up if he hasn't killed his target after a minute or so, or if he is injured at all.

His mate is Dusty Shelf, and he is fiercely protective of her. He does not tolerate other dragons approaching her for any reason, immediately attacking and driving away any who do.
