Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Christmas, named after the holiday he so loves, is at his happiest at the end of the year. Having been raised among humans, he picked up baking somewhere along the way—an unusual habit for dragons, but some of the younger or braver ones are willing to try his gingerbread and sweet pies. His fruitcake, unfortunately, only sees use as a block for hatchlings to play catch with, but he's good-natured even when his cooking doesn't go over so well. He spends his autumns collecting ingredients to prepare for the winter feast and preserving them with his ice breath, and passes the last month of the year in a flurry of baking and shooing Misfit Pygmies out of his pantry.

He's not above giving out free samples for the price of a tummy rub, however.
