Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Emurarudo Ha Teiru is a calm and peaceful dragon and is often seen around the outside of the cave. A favorite hobby of hers is to adorn the cave entrance with vines and other simple greenery. It is unknown whether she is in love or not, but the other dragons know for a fact she will soon find a mate. When a storm approaches, Teiru is usually with Ryelio Draem making herbal medicine for sick dragons. The Whiptail Dragon that resides in the cave is also acquainted with the two. Teiru's tail has more leaves on it than there should be. There are also many berries growing as well. These plants are used in her medicines and grow back quickly. The one leaf at the end of her tail that should be there stands out, and everyone knows to mind it, as it can't be picked off.
