Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has bright blue eyes, and is as clumsy as any other hatchling, but it never seems to get injured.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Expletive Lyrics was given his unusual name by his mother, who was fed up with the hatchling's annoying screeching and just named him after his somewhat naughty code. She does regret her hasty naming though, as her little boy is often teased for his strange and long name. Luckily his given name distracts other dragons from his code, for dragons with an odd code are teased much more than dragons with odd names. Expletive Lyrics believes himself to be a rebel, dying his scales black and his feathers purple and neon green, writing 'dark' poetry, listening and singing to loud 'heavy metal' music. His poetry is terrible, everyone agrees, as it only talks about how he hates his life and how no one understands him. The music is worse though, as every other lyric is a swear and the song is either about blood and gore or loose mating. The dying of the feathers though...everyone secretly thinks it's really darn cool.
