Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

A very rambunctious member of The Lost Dragons, he sleeps for only five hours during the day and spends the rest of his time finding ways to get rid of all the excess energy he has. He loves being chased, and will often agitate older dragons by biting them or harming their young to force them into pursuing him. Like his fellow member Dionaea—Muscipula, he often guards the rest of the group as they sleep. Dionaea watches over the dragons as Rufi-oh patrols the surrounding area.
