Sweetlings are a small, flightless breed of dragon. They are omnivores who favor sweet fruits and honey, and have been known to go to great lengths to obtain their favorite treats. Their long, prehensile tails allow them to grab onto branches and give them superior balance. Sweetlings are expressive dragons and have a large array of calls to communicate with others. They become very vocal during breeding season and sing long, beautiful melodies to attract a mate. Inquisitive in nature, Sweetlings are known to investigate anything that piques their interest, and are quick to flee if the object of their curiosity strikes back.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Singles' Awareness Day was a lucky Sweetling. He was born to a Sweetling who had strange pigments in his feathers; instead of pink, they were black. It was thought that this rare appearance was from a disease that was no longer around and couldn't be passed down. However, as soon as Singles' hatched, he was immediately recognized as a dark Sweetling. All his life, Singles' had been proud of his feathers, but other Sweetlings, mostly hatchlings, were jealous. One day, the hatchies began plotting to make him pink. The jealous dragons melted down their hoards of sweets, mixing different shades, until the sugar was the exact shade of pink as their feathers. They then melted a darker color for his long feathers and rear pattern. Finally, they snuck up on a sleeping Singles' and carefully coated each feather of his in their "paint". When Singles' awoke, he was startled. He realized that the candy had stopped his feathers' growth, and that they would cease to grow. He would be pink forever.
