Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Bitten and left behind, this dragon had no hope as an egg. With no parents looking after him, and an egg that smelled rotten, no one was interested in taking this little dragon into their nest. Monstrum, a fellow vampire dragon, found him, by chance, and brought him back to Kurei. By that time, Kurei had had raised two vampires before this little egg was brought to him, and knew what he had to do. A few days later, they had a third male vampire dragon running around. He was a bit carefree, very calm and watchful, but went on his own for a while, after he grew up, to find out who was the vampire who had bitten his egg. When he found out, he adopted the dragon's name, in order to actually have a family, before returning to his clan.
