Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sakruum is the first female Horse Dragon in the clan. However, many dragons in the clan treat her like she's special for a reason. Sakruum made her first appearance when she was four hours old in the NYHDR (National Youngling's Horse Dragon Race) and retrieved a third place jewel. Of course she never raced again, but she was the youngest of the entire batch for that race. Now she's old enough to let Sherepta1 ride her. Though she can't go into a horse form like the other Horse Dragons in the clan can, she can still make herself look unique by folding her wings into random shapes. Sakruum is a wise dragon, and she never takes things seriously.
