Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Despite being as black as outer space, it has a few bright patterns on it.

And look! It has grown wings and its scales have gained beautiful patterns. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Grass prefers the cooler colored nebulae to decorate his wings. He is gregarious and willing to befriend anyone if they would allow him to be their friend. Grass loves to fly through the meadows and plains, feeling the wind whip at his face and wings. Despite the fact that his species is nocturnal, poor little Grass has nyctophobia. One time, he got lost outside of the cave well after sunset, and he panicked. The other Nebula dragons found him and scooped him up to safety, but he can never step outside the cave after dark for fear of getting lost again.
