Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

found and named by the circus as a hatchling, shade was taught to do simple tricks he could manage, like to flip on a trampoline or to do dances in groups. Laqueus is his preferred companion, or best mate. He has not done any acts yet since he is not prepared but it looks like such a joy to do flips in the air and juggle knifes on an open stage. He can fly and he sometimes carries Laqueus around in the air, which she enjoys very much since flight has abandoned her along with her wings. Him and the circus have travelled around the globe and he enjoys the fun and danger of life at the circus, as he will in a million years.
