Serrati Wyverns are a fierce breed of dragon typically found in volcanic areas or in desert scrubland. With their keen vision, these fearsome predators can pick out well-camouflauged prey from the slightest movement. They are named for the double rows of serrated teeth that line their beaks, which allow these wyverns to maintain an unbreakable grip on prey while they tear into their target with deadly hooked claws. Though these dragons are combative with nearly everything, they are surprisingly well-mannered when raising their offspring in communal nests. Males, however, tend to be chased off as soon as eggs are laid.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kirahma is the nighttime watchman of the lair. She sits outside the cave while the moon is out, still as a statue, with eyes that could pierce the soul with just one look. She tolerates nothing; even a small rodent who just happens to walk too close won't be making it to morning, as the statue known as Kirahma comes to life for only a moment to rid the lair of the "threat". It takes a trained eye and good timing to see her attack, as her movements are often too quick for a normal human to see. Even true threats stand little chance against Kirahma, as her species is adept at hunting anything, including other dragons. If one swipe is unable to end a larger threat, a sudden lunge aimed at the throat will.
